VAKTAVYA '20

The historic success of our first annual speaker summit in 2019 saw the beginning of an initiative with a massive potential. Carrying forward the rich legacy , the Hansraj Economics Society organized it's annual speaker summit of 2020 from 11 September to 20 September. The Lecture Series did not only witness respected professors of Economics including the likes of Professor Pami Dua (Advisor - RBI Monetary Policy Committee), Professor Santosh Mehrotra (Former Economic Advisor UNDP), Professor Praveen Jha (Chairperson of CESP-JNU) but also esteemed Economic Advisors of both nationaland international economic institutions namely Dr.
Krishnamurthy Subramanian (Chief Economic Advisor -Indian Ministry Of Finance), Dr. Poonam Gupta (Lead Economist - World Bank) & Dr. Robert Koopman (Chief Economist - WTO).
Vaktavya'2020 was an extravaganza of diverse economic agendas including the Indian Monetary Policy Framework where we

discussed the establishment and functioning ofthe MPC Committee, COVID19 and it's implications on World Trade, Indian Economy and The Global Economic Scenario followed by in-depth analytical discussions with our expert speakers on Employment Creation, Financial Stability and Green Economic Growth. Moreover, all the speaker sessions were followed by Q and A sessions which made the event even more enriching.
