Principal's Message
Greetings from the Principal of the Hansraj College, University of Delhi!
The Hansraj Economics Department marked the humble beginning of a gratifying expedition, bearing a vision of sculpting the world of education, research and morals with undying enthusiasm. As the wheels roll, I feel gratified and often contemplate that from being a cornerstones in helping students dream, visualize and plan for their future, the Hansraj Economics Department has indeed been a single candle to light a thousand more and eradicate the darkness of ignorance.
I am proud to say that my students have all been with excellent academic backgrounds, possessing the most technical and analytical minds and the will to be the brightest of all. The students have interned with the most prestigious institutions, and have later been placed with the biggest companies adding to their prestige and value and making us all, the Hansraj Family, proud. It is their conduct of their professional and social aspects of life that makes them the indispensable attributes of the society. We are sure that as our students cross over the barrier and join the mainstream, they too shall keep the banner of their alma mater flying high.
I am fortunate to be a part of the Hansraj Economics family which untiringly assists me in my efforts to continually raise the benchmark of our success. A dedicated team of faculty members and non-teaching staff form the backbone of our departmental machinery. I view my role as an administrator and a friend who facilitates overall development of the students of the college and of this department.
Having said that, all that I have to say for the students of this department is that, “A person aspiring to achieve goals or make a mark in life must attach a lot of importance to the three keywords – Awareness, Faith and Commitment. Facing a problem on its merit and attempting a legitimate and a justified approach for its solution makes you a rationalist. This inculcates a concept of self-restrained or an organized life”. I exhort the students to be always modest, humble and disciplined, while being ready to expand the horizons of their knowledge and skills by dreaming big and working hard
